Very Valentine Biscuits!

  Hello everybody!
Happy Valentines Day!  <3  I hope you have had/are having a great day! I'm pretty sure this is a monthly 'tradition' now... Nope it's not a monthly favourites, it's another baking blog post! I baked and decorated some delicious biscuits this week. (As you have probably seen by the title.) Let's get baking...

  Serves: Makes about 15
  Cook Time: 25 minutes
Prep Time: 20 minutes plus 15 mins chilling
  Effort: Easy

        Ingredients
  ▪️ 150 g butter, at room temperature
  ▪️ 75 g caster sugar
  ▪️ 225 g plain flour
       To decorate
  ▪️ Icing sugar
  ▪️ Pink icing pen

       Method
▪️ Dice the butter into a big bowl. Tip in the flour, sugar and a pinch of salt. Gently rub in the butter with your fingertips and bring the dough together into a ball. Wrap in cling film and chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
▪️ Preheat the oven to 170C gas 4.
▪️ Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll to about 1/2 cm thick. Cut out the heart shapes with a biscuit cutter and lay on lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-25 minutes, until light golden. Leave to cool on a rack.
▪️ To decorate the biscuits, mix together few tablespoons of icing sugar with enough water to make a paste. Spread the icing onto the biscuits, or drizzle over in different patterns. You can then use icing pens to decorate, or dip the biscuits into edible glitter. Leave to set before eating.

That brings us to the end of the bake! I hope you enjoyed and if you do happen to bake the cookies please tag me on Instagram so I can see your wonderful creations! (@ISayBell_blog.) I'll see you next week for another post.
  Byyeee!!!!
